Find a club
There are climbing clubs
for young people supported by ClimbScotland all over the country. They are a brilliant way to discover the wonders of climbing if you are just starting out or improve your skills if you are a little more experienced. You will also meet other people who love climbing too.
ClimbScotland Gold Members
For just £15.50 a year, under 18s can join the Mountaineering Council of Scotland. Offering access to training and coaching opportunities, you will also be eligible to take part in youth climbing competitions.
You’ll get an exclusive magazine four times a year and loads of discounts at outdoor shops, places to stay, other services and activities, like Go Ape. You also get your choice of free gift when you sign up!
For just £5 a year, non-climbing parents, teachers, youth group leaders and other volunteers receive third party insurance for supervising your kid's climbing activities as part of a club or at competitions.
You also get a monthly e-newsletter, keeping you up to date with news from Scotland's youth climbing scene and giving you access to resources to help your child achieve their climbing goals.
Free to sign up, partner organisations can be schools, colleges, climbing walls, youth groups or community centres. Being a partner gives you access to the full range of ClimbScotland services and resources.
All we ask is that you give us the name, gender and age of the people taking part, for our reporting purposes (we won't share this with third parties).
