National Indoor Climbing Award Schemes
"Developing climbers through quality coaching"
Most people start out their climbing journey on purpose-built indoor climbing walls and the National Indoor Climbing Award Schemes (NICAS) are a great way to help you develop your skills.
The National Indoor Climbing Award Schemes are UK-wide schemes designed to promote climbing development and individual achievement on artificial climbing structures. They can be used as a starting point for people wishing to take up climbing and mountaineering. The schemes are open to everyone from seven years old upwards.
With training log books, sessions and advice at participating walls, NICAS can provide structure and motivation for new climbers to gain the most out of climbing - helping you to grow your skills, learn new techniques and develop your strength, as well as having your achievements recognised.
