Two young girls trad climbing in the mountains with a female instructor

RealRock – Mountain Experience (East)

“A guided day on a mountaineering route, learning what scrambling is, how to look after yourself when you do it, and experience a journey through the mountains”

or

“A day of instruction on multipitch rock routes, it doesn’t matter if you’ve never done one before. Focus will be on safe belaying, seconding skills, efficient changeovers, and looking at some lead climbing skills”

The course is tailored toward you, so it could be more of a guided day if we choose a route in the mountains, or we can choose somewhere closer to the road to increase teaching time. The choice is yours, and you will have a chance to talk to Kirsty in the run up to help you make that decision.

These courses are run by the fantastic Kirsty Pallas (MCI) from our Mountain Safety team.

The location will be on the West side of Scotland, likely based near Glencoe but this will be confirmed closer to the date when booked.

Participants must be aged 14 – 17, and have attended a prior RealRock session and be able to lead belay another climber.
