This crag is a great crag for groups, with easy, safe climbing, solid anchors on the right hand-side of the crag and a great view.

Quadrocks is home to well-protected trad climbing too. Although there aren’t a huge number of climbing routes, it is well worth checking out for an evening or two. There is excellent climbing at all grades with the best being between VDiff & VS.

Access

  • From Glasgow follow the A78 coast road.
  • Just north of largs town center, turn onto Burnside road by following signs for the Inverclyde National Sports Training Centre. This leads to a large car park outside the centre.
  • Walk onto the hillside behind the centre, avoiding a shooting range to the south!

What to be aware of:

  • Loose rock is possible on less climbed lines.
