Wolfcrag Quarry is hidden away in Mine Woods above Bridge of Allan. The routes can reach quite a height and so caution and bouldering pads are recommended. An alternative to topping out would be some of the great low level traverses.

Access

Approaching from the M9 at Junction 11, take the road signposted to Bridge of Allan. You will come to a bridge that crosses the River Allan. Take the first left onto Blairforkie Drive then turn right up Ferniebank Brae. There is ample parking across the road from the Mine Woods. The crag is two minutes from the road.

The grades range from 4b to 7a and there are trad routes too.

What to be aware of:

  • Vegetated loose rock at the top of routes.
  • Route heights make it quite serious if topping out.
