ClimbScotland will host Scottish Climbing and Speed Championships on 21st and 22nd June 2025.

Lead / Top-rope competition – Saturday 21st June 2025, EICA Ratho

The competition is open to climbers in U13, U15, U17, U19 and U21 categories.

As a national competition, the SCSC routes are of a higher standard than the climbing found in the ClimbScotland Youth Climbing Series (YCS). It is aimed at any climber who wishes to compete at this high level, and those who are trying for selection to the Scottish Development and National Squads. You do not have to be a Scottish resident to enter.

As this is the Scottish Championship, as well as 1st, 2nd and 3rd podiums in each category, we will also award the title of “Scottish champion” in each category; the top ranking climber who is resident in Scotland.

Provisional Schedule:

  • 08:30 – 09:00 Registration
  • 09:00 – 09:30 Competitor and Volunteer Briefings
  • 09:30 – 13:30 Qualifier Round
  • 13:30 – 14:30 Appeals Window
  • 14:30 – 15:30 Isolation
  • 15:30 – 17:00 Finals
  • 17:15 Presentations

Bookings are now closed. Start lists and final schedules will be sent to competitors in advance of the competition.

A note regarding Senior category: We will not be offering a Senior competition this year, owing to additional costs and time considerations. However, we are keen to hear from competitors who would be interested in entering a Senior category in 2026, as we investigate the financial viability of delivering the event next year. Please get in touch at to register interest.
