Granite City Rock Stars
Granite City Rock Stars is Aberdeen and the North East’s rock climbing club dedicated to young people.
We aim to provide safe, fun, rock climbing experiences for young people aged six to 18, developing their skills and experience in an environment with other children. The main club activity is the regular indoor climbing session from 5-7 pm on a Sunday evening at Transition Extreme.
The club is the second oldest climbing club in Scotland specifically for young people and is run by parents.
Our annual membership fee covers running expenses and affiliation to Mountaineering Scotland which in turn provides insurance, and a variety of discounts including reduced competition and training event entry fees.
New members are always welcome. It’s helpful to have had a little climbing experience first. It’s not necessary for parents to be climbers too but we can help you get some basic belaying skills so you can support your child.
Come along and try us out for a couple of sessions before joining.
Please note: A parent or delegate must be present with each child.
