Tell us about your connection with climbing?
I started climbing seven years ago after seeing a flyer from CS For a Paraclimbing come and try event, From that day I was hooked. I’m a competition climber and climbed with the British Paraclimbing team for three years now.
How long have you been involved in climbing/ mountaineering?
Only seven years
Why do you like climbing/ mountaineering?
Climbing has changed my life around after losing my leg in an accident in 2010, I’ve regained my self belief and confidence.
I now run the Scottish Paraclimbing Club and activity encourage others with disabilities to get involved in climbing.
What made you want to join the ClimbScotland team?
To help carry on the hard work already done by other volunteers and keep a clear and safe pathway for kids to climb in competitions.
What is your role?
Competition coordinator
What do you like about working with the team?
All the CS Team have a great attitude to climbers of all ages and abilities.
What is your main ambitions with your role?
Besides progressing Paraclimbing in Scotland, it’s to keep the competitions running and to progress and help the sport we all love.
